Yes. Since May 1, 2026 the Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy offers up to $6,650 per property across all eligible work, including a sump pump, alarm and battery backup.
How long does a sump pump last?
Five to ten years for a quality submersible pump.
Do I need a battery backup?
If you have a finished basement, yes.
Can you install in a finished basement?
Yes, with minimal floor cutting and a patch.
