Commercial plumbing for restaurants, retail and property managers

Fit-outs built to the General Contractor’s schedule, and the recurring compliance work that keeps a business open: grease interceptors and backflow testing.

Why businesses use us

How do we keep your space open and compliant?

Toronto requires grease interceptors in food service and annual backflow testing in commercial buildings. We handle both, on schedule.

  • Fit-outs on the GC’s schedule, with rough-in and final inspections booked by us.
  • Grease interceptors sized and installed to the Sewers By-law.
  • Backflow tests by certified Cross Connection Control Specialists, reported to the City online.
  • After-hours work so your doors stay open.
  • One monthly contract for jetting, interceptor service and testing.

FAQ

Common questions

Do restaurants in Toronto need a grease interceptor?

Yes. Under the City of Toronto Sewers By-law, food service establishments must install, operate and maintain a grease interceptor on any pipe connected to the sanitary sewer. Fines can reach $100,000.

How often must a backflow preventer be tested in Toronto?

At installation, within 72 hours after it is cleaned, repaired or replaced, and at least once a year. The test must be done by a certified Cross Connection Control Specialist and reported to the City.

Can you work after hours?

Yes. For occupied spaces we schedule noisy or water-off work outside business hours.

Do you work for General Contractors?

Yes. Most of our fit-out work comes through GCs, and we work to their schedule and site rules.
